Organizational Structure

Water, Environment and Arid Regions Research Centre consists of the following administrative units:

Water and Environment Research Division: The purpose of this Division is to conduct scientific research studies in the areas of water and the environment, which includes studies of water resources management, environmental impact assessment of projects. It will also provide services in the area of monitoring, environmental awareness and environmental engineering design and participate in the development of environmental legislation, conferences, seminars and training programs in the areas of water and the environment.
Arid Regions Research Division: The aim of this Division is to conduct scientific research studies in the arid areas of Jordan, which include studies of natural resources, human, livestock, soil and pasture. It will be also responsible for organizing conferences, seminars and training programs in the management of natural and human resources in the arid regions of Jordan.
Laboratories Division: The purpose of this Division is to oversee the centre laboratories, marketing services provided by these laboratories to the public and private sectors. It will be also responsible for holding training courses for students and specialists from inside and outside Jordan to conduct laboratory analysis on liquid materials and water, minerals and rocks and organic materials.
