تبحث هذه الرسالة في دراسة الحيوان في كتاب المفضليات من منظور سيميائي، وتم اختيار هذا العلم لأنه يدرس طرق اشتغال العلامة في الأدب وفي غيره من المجالات، إذ يساعد على فهم النصوص والأنساق والأنظمة العلاماتية اللفظية وغير اللفظية، وتعد السمياء بذلك علمًا يستوعب كل الظواهر ويسعى إلى صياغة قواعد مجردة، ولأهميّة دراسة سيمياء الحيوان الواردة في أشعار الشعراء في العصر الجاهلي، وبالخصوص في شعر "المفضليّات"، فإنني اخترت هذه الدّراسة الموسومة بـ " سيمياء الحيوان في نماذج مختارة من المفضليّات ".
قسّمت هذه الدراسة إلى مقدّمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول، تناول الفصل الأوّل دراسة السّيميائيّة في العصرين القديم والمعاصر، وقسّم هذا الفصل إلى ثلاثة مباحث، عُني المبحث الأول بدراسة السّيميائيّة في النقد العربيّ القديم، والمبحث الثّاني عُني بدراسة السّيميائيّة في النقد الحديث، كما أن المبحث الثالث كان لدراسة سيمياء الحيوان ورمزيته في الشّعر العربيّ القديم. أما الفصل الثاني فكان لدراسة سيمياء الحيوانات المستأنسة في شعر المفضليّات وجاء في مبحثين: المبحث الأول خصّص لدراسة سيمياءُ النَّاقَة فِي قَصِيدة عَبَدة بنِ الطَّبِيب: هَل حَبلُ خَولةَ بَعدَ الهجرِ مَوصُولُ، و المبحث الثّاني لدراسة سيمياء الخيلِ فِي قَصِيدَةِ عَوف بنِ عَطيَّة: أمِنْ آلِ مي عَرفتُ الدِّيَارا. وخُصّص الفصل الثّالث لدراسة سيمياء الحيوانات النافرة، فكان المبحث الأول لدراسة سيمياءُ حِمَارِ الوحشِ فِي قَصيدَةِ أبي ذُؤَيب الهذليّ: أَمِنَ المَنُونِ وَرِيبِهَا تَتَوجَّعُ، والمبحث الثّاني لدراسة سِيميَاء الثَّورِ في قَصِيدَةِ سُويد بنِ أبي كاهل اليشكري: بَسَطَتْ رابِعةُ الحبلَ لَنا، ومن ثمّ خاتمة عرضت أهمّ النّتائج التي توصلت إليها الدراسة. تعتمد الدّراسة المنهج السّيميائيّ، وتحاول رصد العلامات الفاعلة في نماذج من قصائد المفضليّات، وبيان مكوناتها الأساسية، وطبيعة تفاعلها وتكاملها، والكشف عن مستوياتها ووظائفها، ومدى تحقيقها لرؤية الشاعر الجاهلي.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى نتائج أهمها الحضور الرمزيّ للحيوانات النّافرة والمستأنسة لدى شعراء المفضليّات، وهذا ما كان له حضوره الموضوعي والغنائي التي فرضتها البيئة الجاهليّة

This study specializes in analyzing poems that mention animals in Al-Mufaddaliyat from a semiotic perspective. This approach was chosen because semiotics examines how signs function in literature and other fields, aiding in the understanding of texts, structures, and verbal/non-verbal sign systems. Thus, semiotics is a science that encompasses all phenomena and seeks to formulate abstract rules.
Given the importance of studying animal semiotics in the poetry of pre-Islamic poets?particularly in Al-Mufaddaliyat?this research focuses on the titled study: *"The Semiotics of Animals in Selected Models from *Al-Mufaddaliyat."**
This study was divided into an introduction, a preamble and three chapters, the first chapter dealt with the study of semiotics in the ancient and contemporary eras, and this chapter was divided into three sections, the first section concerned with the study of semiotics in ancient Arab criticism, and the second section concerned with the study of semiotics in modern criticism, and the third section was to study animal semiotics and symbolism in ancient Arabic poetry. The second chapter was to study the semiotics of domesticated animals in the poetry of favorites and came in two sections, the first section was devoted to the study of the semiotics of the camel in the poem of Abda bin doctor: Is the rope of Khawla after abandonment connected, and the second section to study the semiotics of horses in the poem of Auf bin Attia: the security of Al Mai knew Diyara. The third chapter is devoted to the study of the semiotics of repulsive animals, the first section is devoted to the study of zebra semiotics in the poem of Abu Dhu'ib al-Hudhali: the security of Al-Manon and its suspicion aches, and the second section to study the semiotics of the bull in the poem of Suwaid bin Abi Kahil Al-Yashkri: I simplified the fourth rope for us, and then the conclusion presented the most important findings of the study, the study adopts the semiotic approach, and tries to monitor the active signs in models of favorite poems, and the statement of their basic components, and the nature of their interaction and integration, and the detection of Its levels and functions, and the extent to which it achieves the vision of the pre-Islamic poet.
The study concluded with the most important results of the symbolic presence of repellent and domesticated animals among the poets of the favorites, and this had its objective and lyrical coordinates imposed by the pre-Islamic environment
