هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة ممارسة مديري مدارس المرحلة المتوسطة في محافظة الجهراء للقيادة التشاركية وعلاقتها بالنمو المهني للمعلمين. استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي الارتباطي، واستبانة تضمنت مجالات القيادة التشاركية الآتية: علاقة المدير بالمعلمين، وعلاقة المدير بالطلبة، وعلاقة المدير بالمجتمع، وفقرات النمو المهني للمعلمين، وتكونت عينة الدراسة من (420) معلماً ومعلمة من معلمي المرحلة المتوسطة في مدارس محافظة الجهراء في الكويت، وأظهرت النتائج أنّ درجة ممارسة مديري المدارس للقيادة التشاركية مرتفعة في جميع المجالات، كما دلت إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية وفق متغير الجنس في مجال علاقة المدير بالطلبة لصالح الذكور، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تقديرات أفراد عينة الدراسة وفق متغيري الخبرة والمؤهل العلمي، كما أظهرت النتائج أنّ مستوى النمو المهني للمعلمين جاء مرتفعاً، مع عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية وفق متغير الجنس، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية وفق متغير المؤهل العلمي لصالح دراسات عليا ووفق متغير الخبرة لصالح خبرة (5-10) سنوات، مع وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية دالة إحصائياً بين ممارسة القيادة التشاركية لمديري المدارس والنمو المهني للمعلمين، وفي ضوء النتائج قدم الباحث عدة توصيات منها:حث مديري مدارس المرحلة المتوسطة على زيادة التواصل بينهم وبين المعلمين خارج أوقات الدوام، والاهتمام بالصحة النفسية للمعلمين

 This study aimed at identifying the extent of the middle stage school principals' practice of participatory leadership in Al Gahra governorate and its relation with teachers' professional development. The researcher used the correlational descriptive approach, and a questionnaire which consisted of the following participatory leadership domains:the relationship of the principal with teachers ,the relationship of the principal with students, the relationship of the principal with society, and the statements of teachers 'professional development. The study sample consisted of (420) female and male teachers of the middle stage in the schools of Al Gahra governorate in Kuwait. The research results indicated that the extent of the school principals' practice of participatory leadership was high in all domains, with no statistically significant differences in the estimates of the sample study according to the experience and scientific qualification variables. In addition, there were statistically significant differences according to the gender variable in the domain of the relationship of the principal with his students in favour of the males. The results also showed that the level of the teachers 'professional development came with a high degree with positive correlational relationship between principals' practice of participatory leadership and the professional development of teachers. In light of the research results the researcher offered a set of suggestions, Encouraging the middle stage principals to increase the communication between them and teachers outside work hours and taking care of the mental health of teachers
