لتصميم الحدائق العامة دورٌ هام في التنمية البيئية والاجتماعية في أي مجتمع. يُستخدم مصطلح التماسك الاجتماعي، للتعبير عن قوة الروابط الاجتماعية بصفته قوة الروابط الاجتماعية، ولتحليل العلاقات الاجتماعية ورفاهية الإنسان. ومع ذلك، هناك فجوة معرفية فيما يتعلق بالعلاقة بين التصميم المعماري للحدائق العامة والتماسك الاجتماعي. يهدف هذا البحث إلى استكشاف دور التصميم المعماري للحدائق العامة في تعزيز التماسك الاجتماعي؛ وتحديدًا بين اللاجئين السوريين والمجتمع المضيف في مدينة المفرق. اتبع هذا البحث نهجًا مختلطًا يركز على تحليل دراسات الحالة. تمت دراسة وتحليل ثلاث حدائق عامة في المفرق للتعرف على مدى تطبيق مبادئ التصميم ومستوى التماسك الاجتماعي. جُمعت البيانات من خلال الاستبيان والمقابلات والملاحظات وبرامج نظم المعلومات الجغرافية؛ وتم تحليلها من خلال برنامج SPSS والترميز وقائمة التحقق من التقييم. توصل هذا البحث أن هناك علاقة قوية بين مدى تطبيق مبادئ التصميم في الحدائق العامة ومستوى التماسك الاجتماعي. اوصي هذا البحث بتصميم الحدائق لتكون شاملة ومتكاملة لجميع الأعمار، وتعكس الهوية الاجتماعية، وتعزز الانتماء للمكان. وطالب هذا البحث بإجراء أبحاث مستقبلية تركز على كيفية تعزيز العلاقة بين التصميم المادي والجوانب الاجتماعية. |

The design of public parks plays a significant role in the environmental and social development of any society. The term "social cohesion" is used to express the strength of social bonds and to analyze social relations and human well-being. However, there is a knowledge gap regarding the relationship between the architectural design of public parks and social cohesion. This research will investigate the role of the architectural design of public parks in promoting social cohesion, specifically between Syrian refugees and the host community in Mafraq. This research followed a mixed-method approach focusing on case study analysis. Three public parks in Mafraq were studied and analyzed to determine the extent to which design principles were applied and the level of social cohesion. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and GIS software; they were analyzed using SPSS, coding, and an evaluation checklist. This research found a strong relationship between the extent to which design principles were applied in public parks and the level of social cohesion. This research recommended that parks be designed to be inclusive and integrated for all ages, reflect social identity, and foster a sense of belonging to the place. This research called for future research focusing on how to enhance the relationship between physical design and social aspects |
