هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة تأثير استخدام استراتيجية التعلم التعاوني المدعم بمشغلات الفيديوعلى الكفاءة التواصلية واتجاهات متعلمي اللغة الانجليزية كلغة اجنبية في الصف العاشر.
تكونت عينة الدراسة من 41 طالباً في الصف العاشر يدرسون في مدرسة بلعما الثانوية للبنات في مديرية التربية والتعليم لقصبة المفرق في الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الدراسي 2019/2020. تم اختيار هذه المدرسة عن قصد لغايات لوجستية. كان هناك مجموعتان من الصف العاشر ؛ تتكون المجموعة (أ) من (21) طالبًة وتم اختيارهن كمجموعة ضابطة ، والمجموعة (ب) تتألف من (20) طالبًة وتم تعيينها كمجموعة تجريبية. تم تدريس المجموعة الضابطة من قبل الباحث باستخدام كتاب الطالب للغة الإنجليزية للصف العاشر ، بينما تم تعليم المجموعة التجريبية أنشطة المحادثة باستخدام التعلم التعاوني باستخدام مشغلات الفيديو والتي اخذت من الإنترنت واليوتيوب ومواقع الويب والاجهزة الداعمةالأخرى. جلست كلتا المجموعتين لاختبار مسبق لتحديد المستوى الفعلي لكلا الفريقين في الكفاءة التواصلية واتجاهاتهم. تم جمع البيانات في غضون 8 أسابيع. بعد 8 أسابيع ، جلست كلتا المجموعتين بعد الاختبار لمعرفة ما إذا كان هناك أي تغيير ، وإذا حدث ، إلى أي مدى ، وفي أي بُعد باستخدام التحليل الإحصائي المناسب. أظهرت النتائج أن المجموعة التجريبية طوروا كفائتهم التواصلية أكثر من المجموعة الضابطة.

This study aimed to investigate the effect of using collaborative learning strategy assisted with DVDs on EFL tenth grade students? communicative competence and attitude. The participants of the study consisted of 41 tenth grade students, from -Bal?ma Secondary School for Girls, in the second semester of the scholastic year 2019/2020. This school was purposefully chosen for logistic purposes. There were two 10th grade groups; group A consisted of 21 students and it was chosen as a control group, and group B consisted of 20 students and it was assigned as an experimental group. The pre/post tests were of two parts which are a speaking part that examined the students? speaking communicative competence and a listening part that tests students? listening communicative competence. Pre/post tests and a post/questionnaire were administrated to assess the effect of using collaborative learning assisted with DVDs on 10th grade EFL students? communicative competence and attitude. Students in both groups sat to a pre-test at the beginning of the semester to determine their actual communicative competence. After 8 weeks, the same test was conducted as a post-test to investigate their development. A questionnaire was administrated on the experimental group to measure the effect of using Collaborative Learning on their attitudes.
By using proper statistical analysis, the results revealed that both groups developed their communicative competence but the experimental group students significantly developed their communicative competence more than the control group. The results of the study also showed that the experimental group students developed in all communicative aspects but they developed in certain aspects more than others.
Accordingly, using Collaborative Learning strategy assisted with DVDs is needed to develop students' communicative competence and attitudes since theory and practice are needed and they complete each other
