هدفت الدراسة إلى البحث في فاعلية الدور الروسي تجاه الأزمة السورية، وتحقيق جملة من الأهداف وعلى رأسها التعرف على طبيعة الدور الروسي، والمصالح التي ترغب روسيا في تحقيقها، وحدود ذلك الدور، ومستقبلها وتشخيص مدى وجود دور روسي في المنطقة من جهة ومدى تعارضها مع استراتيجيات القوى العظمى الاخرى من جهتً اخرى .
وبناء على موضوع الدراسة فإن إشكالية الدراسة تقوم على تساؤل رئيس وهو : ما فاعلية الدور الروسي تجاه الأزمة السورية في الفترة من 2011-2017 ومستقبل هذا الدور.
وفي سبيل الوصول إلى نتائج فاعلة وواقعية ، فقد استخدم الباحث منهجي نظريتي الدور وتحليل النظم ، وهما النظريتان المناسبتان لهذه الدراسة.
وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج مهمة كان منها : إن روسيا استطاعت من فرض خطوط حمراء حول مصالحها، ونفوذها الخاص في سوريا، وبناء توازن استراتيجي مع القوى الغربية العظمى، وذلك بعد أن اختل ذلك التوازن لصالح الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ، بعد عام 1990 إلا أن روسيا استطاعت المحافظة على وحدة سوريا وعدم تقسيمها ، ولكن على حساب المواطن السوري ، والبنية التحتية للمدن السورية ،التي دمرها الطيران الروسي ، ولكن ما يميز الاستراتيجية الروسية أنها تدرك طبيعة وحجم المخاطر والمحاذير، وأبعادها التكتيكية والدبلوماسية ،وتجيد عناصر الدبلوماسية من مفاوضة ومناورة

The aim of this study is to achieve a number of objectives, foremost of which is the statement of the Russian role and its effectiveness towards the Syrian crisis in the period from 2011 to 2017, as well as the nature of the Russian role and the interests that Russia wants to achieve, the limits of that role and its future, and the diagnosis of the existence of Russian strategy in the region, With great power strategies.
Based on the subject of the study, the problem of the study is based on the main question: What is the Russian strategy towards the Syrian crisis and the Middle East in the period from 2011 to 2017 and the future of this role.
In order to achieve effective and realistic results, the researcher used methodological theories of role and systems analysis, which are the appropriate theories for this study.
The study concluded several important results, including that Russia was able to impose red lines on its interests and influence in Syria and build a strategic balance with the great Western powers, after the imbalance in favor of the United States after 1990, but Russia was able to maintain unity Syria is not divided but at the expense of the Syrian citizen and the infrastructure of the Syrian cities destroyed by Russian aviation, but what characterizes the Russian strategy that they understand the nature and magnitude of risks and precautions and tactical and diplomatic dimensions and the elements of diplomacy from negotiation and maneuvering
