أولت هذه الدراسة اهتماماً بأحد علماء المسلمين،وهو أبو المظفر السمعاني ?رحمه الله ?حيث تتحدث عنجهود أبي المظفر السمعانيّفي الدفاع عن السنّة النبوية،وتتمحور حول الإجابة عن سؤال الدراسة الرئيس، وهو: ما هي جهود أبي المظفر السمعانيّ في الدفاع عن السنة النبوية المطهرّة؟، واستخدم الباحث المنهج الاستقرائيّ؛ وذلك باستقراء معظم نصوص مؤلفاته، وما كتب عنه في هذا الموضوع، ثم تحليل تلك النصوص باستخدام المنهج التحليليّ، وتوزيعها على فصول الدراسة؛ كما استخدم الباحث المنهج الاستدلالي من خلال عرض ما أستدل به أبو المظفر السمعاني من أدلة في الدفاع السنة النبوية المطهرة،وذلك للوصول إلى النتائج والتوصيات.
وقد تمّ تقسيم هذه الدراسة إلى: مقدمة، وتمهيد، وثلاثة فصول، وخاتمة، فأما المقدمة فتتضمن: مشكلة الدراسة، أهمية الدراسة، أهداف الدراسة، الدراسات السابقة، منهج البحث، وأما التمهيد فيتضمن: التعريف بأبي المظفر السمعانيّ، من حيث: اسمه، ونسبه، ونشأته، وطلبه للعلم. وشيوخه، وتلاميذه، وحياته العلمية، ومصنفاته، ومكانتها العلمية. بينما تضمّن الفصل الأول: جهود أبي المظفر السمعانيّ في إثبات حُجيّة السنّة، وله ثلاثة مباحث، الأول: حُجية الخبر المتواتر عند أبي المظفر السمعانيّ، والدفاع عنه. والثاني: حُجية خبر الواحد عند السمعاني والدفاع عنه. والثالث: موقفه من بعض أنواع الحديث (المسند و المرسل والمعضل والمنقطع). وأما الفصل الثاني فيتضمّن: جهود أبي المظفر السمعانيّ في مناقشة من ردّ السنّة بالعقل، وأصحاب المذاهب المبتدعة في ترك العمل بها. وفيه مبحثان الأول: جهوده في مناقشة من ردّ المتواتر والآحاد بالعقل. والثاني: جهوده في مناقشة أصحاب المذاهب المبتدعة في ترك العمل بالسنة. وجاء الفصل الثالث بعنوان: جهود أبي المظفر السمعانيّ في الدفاع عن الرواة، وله مبحثان، الأول: جهوده في الدفاع عن الرواة من الصحابة. والثاني: جهوده في الدفاع عن رواةالسنةالشريفةوالتابعين.
وخلص الباحث في نهاية الدراسة إلى أن أبا المظفر السمعانيّ قرّر حجية الخبر المتواتر، وكذلك خبر الآحاد؛ عقليا، ونقليا، وأنهما يفيدان العلم والعمل، وبذلك اتفق مع علماء أهل السنة: كابن الصلاح، وابن حجر، وغيرهم، وأثبت ما قرره علماء الحديث عن الحديث المسند، ودافع عن رواة الحديث: كالصحابة، والتابعين، وتابعي التابعين، وردّ على شبهات أهل الكلام والبدع، وذمهم

This study aimed to reveal: "The efforts of Abu Al-Muzaffar Al-Sam'ani in defending the Sunnah", and specifically the answer to the study's main question, which is: What are the efforts of Abi Al-Muzaffar Al-Sam'ani in defending the purified Prophet's Sunnah? The researcher used the inductive method. ; This is done by extrapolating most of the texts of his authors, and what was written about him on this subject, and then analyzing those texts using the method Analytical, and distributed to the study classes, in order to reach the results and recommendations, this study has been divided into: an introduction, a preface, three chapters, and a conclusion. In term of: his name, linage, his travels for knowledge, and his students, and his scientific life, his works. While the first chapter included: the efforts of Abi Al-Muzaffar Al-Samani in proving the authenticity of the Sunnah, and it has three topics, the first: the authoritativeness of the mutawatir report according to Abi Al-Muzaffar Al-Samani, and his defense. And the second: the authoritativeness of the news of the one at Al-Samani and his defense. And the third: his position on some types of hadith (Musnad, Al-Mu?adil, and Al-Munqati? Al-Mursal). As for the second chapter, it includes: the efforts of Abi Al-Muzaffar Al-Sama?ani in discussing those who rejected the Sunnah with reason, and the people of the sects.
