تناولت هذه الدراسة موضوع إسقاط الدعوى المدنية كدراسة مقارنة مع المشرع المصري، نظرًا لما يحتله هذا الموضوع من أهمية كبيرة على المستوى التطبيقي العملي وعلى المستوى النظري كونه يعتبر من المواضيع الشائعة في واقع المحاكم العملي، حيث تناولت الدراسة ابتداءً بيان ماهية إسقاط الدعوى المدنية من حيث مفهومها لغويًا وفقهيًا ونطاق تطبيقها للوقوف على حالات إسقاط الدعوى المدنية الواردة في القانون المدني الأردني، ثم بعد ذلك تم التمييز بين إسقاط الدعوى المدنية عن الوقف والتقادم ثم انتقل الباحث للحديث عن أنواع إسقاط الدعوى المدنية ومتى يتم إسقاطها بشكلٍّ مؤقت أو إسقاطها بشكلٍ نهائي، وأخيرًا وضح الباحث الآثار القانونية المترتبة على إسقاط الدعوى المدنية وإعادة تجديدها بعد الإسقاط وما يتأثر بهذا الإسقاط وما لا يتأثر بإسقاط الدعوى المدنية. وأسفرت الدراسة عن عدة نتائج أهمها، لم يورد المشرع الأردني تعريفًا واضحًا في نصوص القانون لمفهوم إسقاط الدعوى المدنية حيث ترك أمر توضيح هذا المعنى للفقه والقانون.
وخرج الباحث بعدد من التوصيات كان أهمها، على المشرع الأردني تخصيص باب يشتمل على إجراءات إسقاط الدعوى ومفهومها عوضًا عن إيراد نصوص قانونية مبعثرة تبين ذلك. وأن يبين نوع الإسقاط الإجرائي لكل حالة من حالات الإسقاط ومن له الحق بتجديد الدعوى المسقطة

This study dealt with the issue of dropping the civil lawsuit as a comparative study with the Egyptian legislator, due to the great importance this subject occupies at the practical applied level and at the theoretical level as it is considered one of the common topics in the practical reality of the courts. Linguistically and jurisprudentially, and the scope of its application to find out the cases of dropping the civil lawsuit mentioned in the Jordanian civil law, then distinguishing the dropping of the civil lawsuit from the suspension and prescription, then the researcher moved on to talk about the types of dropping the civil lawsuit and when it is dropped temporarily or dropped permanently, and finally the researcher explained the legal implications The consequences of dropping the civil lawsuit and its renewal after the dropping, what is affected by this dropping and what is not affected by the dropping of the civil case. The study resulted in several results, the most important of which is that the Jordanian legislator did not provide a clear definition in the texts of the law for the concept of dropping a civil lawsuit, as he left the issue of clarifying this meaning to jurisprudence and law.
The researcher came out with a number of recommendations, the most important of which was that the Jordanian legislator should allocate a section that includes the procedures for dropping the lawsuit and its concept, instead of providing scattered legal texts that show that. And to indicate the type of procedural dismissal for each of the cases of dismissal and who has the right to renew the dropped lawsuit
