هدفت الدراسة إلى اكتشاف اثر استخدام مواقع (التيد) في فنيات التحدث لدى متعلمي اللغة الانجليزية لغة أجنبية. وهدفت ايضا الى معرفة إن كان استخدام مواقع (التيد) ذا تأثير متباين في تطوير فنيات التحدث الأربعة .ولتحقيق هذه الأهداف وزعت ستة واربعون طالبة بشكل عشوائي على مجموعتين كل مجموعة ?? طالبة من الصف العاشر في مدرسة البويضة الثانوية الشاملة للبنات في مديرية التربية والتعليم لواء الرمثا خلال الفصل الدراسي الأول من العام الدراسي ????/????.
تم تعليم المجموعة التجريبية باستخدام مواقع التيد وتم تعليم المجموعة الضابطة باستخدام الطريقة التقليدية. وقد اعطيت الطالبات اختبار قبلي وبعد ثمانية اسابيع تقدمن لامتحان بعدي للتأكد من وجود اي تحسن على ميكانيكيات ومهارة التحدث لمعرفة ما إذا كان لطريقة تطبيق التيد تأثير على المجموعة التجريبية . أظهرت نتائج الدراسة ان المجموعة التجريبية كانت افضل من المجموعة الضابطة. وكشفت النتائج ايضا ان مواقع التيد قدمت فرصة في تحسين أداء ميكانيكيات ومهارات التحدث . وأوضحت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تعزى الى اسلوب المجموعة التجريبية في التدريس وهذا بدوره عزز طلاقة الطلاب في اللغة الانجليزية وجعل من السهل التعبير عن أفكارهم دون تردد او خوف . ووفقا لذلك تمت التوصية باستخدام مواقع التيد في المدارس في لمساعدة الطلاب على تطوير مهارة التحدث لديهم

The current study aimed at discovering the effectiveness of using TED Talks and TED-ED on EFL Students' mechanics of speaking . It also aimed to investigate whether teaching mechanics of speaking via TED Talks and TED-ED websites had a significant difference in aspects of mechanics of speaking( Intonation, word stress , sentence stress, juncture, and pause). To achieve these goals, 46 students were already divided into two groups; each group consisted of 23 students of 10th grade students, at Al-Bwidah Secondary Comprehensive School , at Al-Ramtha Director of Education, during the first semester of academic year 2022/2023 . The experimental group was taught using TEDs websites , while the control group was taught regularly . The students were given a pre-test then after eight weeks , they sat for a post-test to ensure whether they had any improvement in their mechanics of speaking after the experiment, and to see whether the TED websites had an effect on the experimental group. The results of the study showed that the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group in the mechanics of speaking. The findings of the study also showed that there were statistically significant differences at a =0.05between the mean scores of the experimental group due to the method of teaching (TED Talks and TED _ED vs. regular instruction) in favor of the TED Talks and TED-ED in the mechanics of speaking on the post ? test. This, in turn , strengthened the students' speaking mechanics in English and made e easier to express their ideas without hesitation or fear. Accordingly , using TED Talks and TED-ED Websites strategy is recommended in the curricula plans of the English language subject for helping students to develop their mechanics of speaking |
