The current study aimed to investigate the degree of the upper basic stage teachers? practicing of the think-pair-share (TPS) strategy in teaching English language skills and its areas. This study sought to answer the following questions: To what extent did the upper basic stage teachers use the TPS strategy in teaching English language skills? and to what extent did the upper basic stage teachers use the TPS strategy in teaching English language areas? To achieve the aim of this study, a quantitative research design was adopted. Observation checklist was used as an instrument of the study to collect data by observing twenty-one teachers in five local schools in the west Northwest Badiah, in Mafraq Governorate during the first semester of the scholastic year 2022/2023. The results of the study revealed that the degree of teachers in practicing the TPS in teaching English language skills and areas was in high degree. According to these results, the study was concluded with a set of recommendations for the Ministry of Education and for researchers in teaching field to use the TPS strategy as collaborative and active learning strategy in teaching English as a foreign language
