هدفت الدراسة إلى مناقشة أثرالمتغيرات الجغرافية على السياسة الأردنية من عام (1999 ? 2020)، حيث ناقشت الدراسة أهمية المؤثرات الإقليمية الجغرافية على موقع الأردن وتفاعلتها في السياسة الخارجية الأردنية؛ واستخدمت الدراسة منهج صنع القرار لريتشرد سنايدر، حيث قامت الدراسة على فرضية واحدة مؤداها؛ "وجود علاقة إرتباطية بين الموقع الجغرافي للأردن وبين قرار السياسة الخارجية للدولة الأردنية على المستويين الاقليمي والدولي"؛ إذ تكمن أهمية الدراسة في الكشف عن تأثير الموقع الجغرافي على سياسة الأردن الخارجية (1999-2020)؛ إذ اشتملت الدراسة على الحدود المكانية والزمانية؛ وأن أهم ما يميز هذه الدراسة عن الدراسات السابقة أنها انفردت بتغطية فترة حكم الملك عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين منذ إستلام سلطاته الدستورية وهي الأحدث والأطول من حيث تناولها لغالبية الأحداث والمتغيرات والمؤثرات الداخلية والخارجية التي أثرت بشكل مباشر على صناعة القرار السياسي الأردني.
وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى عدة استنتاجات أبرزها: أن الموقع الجغرافي الأردني يفرض عليه مزيدا من التحديات الأمنية والإقتصادية وهي أحدى أهم الحقائق المحركة للسياسة الخارجية الأردنية والذي بدورة يزيد من الضغط على تحديث القوة العسكرية الأردنية بما يتناسب وحجم التحديات؛ إن توفير البيئة الآمنة لتحقيق متطلبات التنمية المستدامه من شأنها الدفع بالعملية الإقتصادية الأردنية ومسيرة التنمية الوطنية للأمام والتي تنعكس مباشرة على المسيرة السياسية الأردنية.

This study aimed to discuss the impact of geographical variables on Jordanian politics from (1999- 2020); thus addressed the importance of regional-geographical influences on Jordan?s location and its interactions within Jordanian foreign policy. The methodology of this research followed the Decision-Making Approach by Richard Snider. This research is done based on the following assumption: there is an existing and vital relationship between Jordan?s geological location and its foreign political decision over regional and international levels; therefore, this study aimed to clarify and identify that effect in between (1999-2020). This study has the following significant aspects: the physical borders and time-scale border; hence, The importance of this study compared to previous studies is that it covers the entire period of the reign of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein since he received his constitutional powers; therefore, the latest and most extended study in terms of dealing with the majority of internal and external events, variables and influences that directly affected the Jordanian political decision-making.
The study concluded the following highlighted points: the Jordanian geographical location imposes more security and economic challenges on it, considered as one of the most critical facts driving the Jordanian foreign policy, therefore increasing pressure on the upgrading the Jordanian military force in proportion to the challenges; Providing a safe environment to achieve the requirements of sustainable development will drive the Jordanian economy and the national development processes forward, which is directly reflected on the Jordanian political process
