This study aimed to reveal the impact of social networking sites on political participation in the Northern Mazar District, and the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach in the survey method, and the study population consisted of all adult citizens participating in the parliamentary elections in the Northern Mazar District, which numbered (34052) citizens and his citizen, and the study sample consisted of (380) participants in the parliamentary elections in the Northern Mazar District, They were selected using a random sample. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed two scales: the scale of social networking sites, and the scale of political participation. The study concluded the following results: There are differences with Statistical significance attributed to the impact of social networking sites on political participation in the Northern Mazar District according to variables (gender, age, educational level, and marital status. While it was found that there were no statistically significant differences due to the impact of social networking sites on political participation in the Northern Mazar District according to the variable of the average hours spent using social networking sites. It also found a strong soft relationship statistically significant between social networking sites and political participation
