تسعى هذه الدراسة إلى تناول "تجليات الوصف في رواية (أيام الخبز) لمطر الطوالبة لبيان مفهومه وأنواعه وآلياته ودلالاته ووظائفه وتقنياته، وبيان دوره في تشكيل النص الروائي، وذلك بتحليل الرواية والوقوف على ظاهرة الوصف فيها بالدرس والتحليل.
استندت هذه الدراسة على الطريقة الوصفية التحليلية، في دراسة عمل الروائي مطر الطوالبة لرواية(أيام الخبز) مستفيدةً من النظريات السردية الحديثة للكشف عن تقنيات الوصف في رواية(أيام الخبز) للروائي مطر الطوالبة.
فرضت طبيعة الموضوع تقسيم الدراسة إلى مقدمة وتمهيد وثلاثة فصول وخاتمة:
اشتمل التمهيد على التعريف بمفهوم الوصف في اللغة والاصطلاح وعلاقته بالسرد. وتناول الفصل الأول أنواع الوصف ووظائفه ودلالاته في رواية مطر الطوالبة، وعرض الفصل الثاني نماذج الوصف ودلالاته، ووقف الفصل الثالث على طرق الوصف وتقنياته في الرواية. وقد توصلت الدراسة في خاتمتها بأن الوصف تقنية بارزة في الرواية، تجلت بوضوح عبر حركة السرد بأنواعها ومظاهرها ووظائفها وتقنياتها، وقد أسهمت في تجسيد رؤية الكاتب للواقع المعيش في الرواية.

This study seeks to address the "manifestations of description in the novel (Days of Bread) by Matar Tawalbeh to clarify its concept, types, mechanisms, indications, functions and techniques, and to demonstrate its role in shaping the fictional text, by analyzing the two novels and standing on the phenomenon of description in them through study and analysis.
This study was based on the descriptive analytical method, in studying the work of the novelist Matar Al Tawalbeh for the novel (Days of Bread), benefiting from modern narrative theories to reveal the techniques of description in the novel (Days of Bread) by the novelist Matar Al Tawalbeh.
The nature of the subject dictated that the study be divided into an introduction, preface, three chapters, and a conclusion:
The introduction included the definition of the concept of description in language and terminology and its relationship to narration. The first chapter dealt with the types of description, its functions, and its implications in Matar al-Tawalbeh's novel. The second chapter presented the models of description and its implications. The third chapter dealt with methods and techniques of description in the novel. The study concludes that the description is a prominent technique in the novel, which was clearly manifested through the movement of narration with its types, manifestations, functions and techniques, and it contributed to the embodiment of the writer's vision of the lived reality in the novel
