هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على درجة تضمين مهارات التفكير الرياضي في كتاب الرياضيات المطور للصف الثامن الأساسي في الأردن ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي( أسلوب تحليل المحتوى) حيث طور أداة تحليل المحتوى في ضوء مهارات التفكير الرياضي وهي التعميم، والاستقراء، والاستنتاج، والتعبيربالرموز، والبرهان الرياضي، والتعليل والتبرير (السببية)، وحل المسألة الرياضية الكلامية وقام الباحث بتحليل كتاب الرياضيات للصف الثامن الأساسي بجزأيه الأول والثاني بعد التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة فيما يتعلق بمهارات التفكير الرياضي أن مهارة الاستنتاج احتلت المرتبة الأولى بنسبة (%66) ، ثم جاء في المرتبة الثانية مهارة حل المسألة الرياضية الكلامية وبنسبة مئوية بلغت (%15.5)، وتلاهم في المرتبة الثالثة في مهارة التعليل والتبرير (السببية) وبنسبة مئوية (%10.2)، ويليها في المرتبة الرابعة مهارة التعبير بالرموز وبنسبة مئوية (%3.9)، وجاء في المرتبة الخامسه مهارة البرهان الرياضي وبنسبة مئوية (%3.2)، ويليه في المرتبة السادسة مهارة الإستقراء وبنسبة مئوية (%1)، وجاء في المرتبة السابعة مهارة التعميم وبنسبة مئوية (%0.2).

 The study aimed to identify the extent to which mathematical thinking skills are included in the mathematics textbook developed for the eighth grade basic in Jordan and to achieve the objectives of the study the researcher employed the analytical descriptive approach where he developed an instrument to analyze the content in the light of mathematical thinking skills, namely generalization, induction, conclusion, logical thinking, mathematical proof, reasoning,justification (causality) and solving the verbal mathematical problem and the researcher analyzed the mathematics textbook for the eighth grade basic in its first and second parts after both validity and reliability of the checklist were verified of the instrument and the results of the study have shown in relation to With the skills of mathematical thinking, the skill of deduction ranked first with (66%), then came in second place the skill of solving the mathematical problem of words and a percentage of (15.5%), followed by them in third place in the skill of reasoning and justification (causality) and percentage (10.2%), followed in fourth place by the skill of expression by symbols and by a percentage (3.9%), came in fifth place the skill of mathematical proof and by a percentage (3.2%), followed by the sixth place the skill of induction and by a percentage (1%)In seventh place was the skill of generalization with a percentage (0.2%)
