تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن أهم جهود الأستاذ الدكتور إبراهيم سليمان الشمسان وإسهاماته في الدرس اللغوي، حيث قامت الباحثة بدراسة عدد كبير من إنتاجه العلمي، وتمكنت من النظر في أهم جهوده.
وجاءت هذه الدراسة في مقدمة وثلاثة فصول، وقد تناولت المقدمة أهمية الدراسة وإشكاليتها ومسوغاتها ومنهجها، أمَّا الفصل الأول فقد تحدَّثت الباحثة فيه عن أبرز المسائل النحوية التي تناولها الشمسان في كتبه، نحو ( حروف الجر، ومسائل التعدي واللزوم، ومسائل تخص الجملة الشرطية، ودون وأحكامها، والعدد ونظام الأسهم )، وفي الفصل الثاني نظرت الباحثة في المسائل الصرفية والصوتية، نحو ( الاشتقاق، والإبدال، والتصغير، والوقف، وظاهرة الإشمام، وتغير القاف )، وكان الفصل الثالث والأخير بعنوان المسائل الدلالية، نحو ( اللغة وعلاقتها بالمجتمع، والدلالة الوظيفية، وقضايا متعلقة بفلسفة التسمية).
والمنهج المتبع في هذه الدراسة هو التحليل والاستقراء.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى أنَّ شخصية الشمسان في النحو والصرف تبدو جلية، فقد أفاد من المادة المسموعة والمنقوله وقام بتحليلها، كما حاول تقديم درس تعليمي في مجال الصرف وبعض الظواهر الصوتية، وكان التراث العربي الأصيل هو منبع تلك المسائل

The aim of this study is to shed light on the important efforts of Professor Ibrahim Sulaiman Al Shamsan and his contribution to the linguistic field. The researcher studied a large number of his scientific production and was able to consider the overall production.
This study consisted of an introduction and three chapters. The introduction dealt with the importance of the study, its problems, its rationale, and its methodology. The first chapter talked about the most important grammatical issues dealt with Al Shamsan in his books such as: prepositions, transitive intransitive issues, conditional issues, sentence without conditions, the number and the system of shares. In the second chapter, the researcher examined the morphological and phonological issues such as: derivation, substitution, reduction, stop, and the phenomenon of Aleshmam and Similar. The third and the final chapter was entitled with Semantic Issues such as: language and its relation to society, functional significance and issues related to the philosophy of naming.
The study concluded that the personality of the Al Shamsan in grammar and morphology is clear. He used the spoken and transcribed material and analyzed it. He also tried to provide an educational lesson in the field of exchange and sound phenomena. The original Arab heritage was the source of these issues
