هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن البناء المؤسسي لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي في عصر العولمة، تم استخدام منهج اتخاذ القرار والنظام الدولي والمنهج المؤسساتي، كما تم استعراض الدراسة من خلال بيان ماهية منظمة التعاون الإسلامية وماهية العولمة، وماهية القضايا الأساسية التي تتضل بعمل منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، وقد توصلت الدراسة الى عدد من النتائج كان من ابرزها: وضعت منظمة التعاون الإسلامي أهدافاً عدة في ميثاقها التأسيسي ومن ذلك القيام بحماية صورة الإسلام الحقيقية من أي تشويه والوقوف في وجه كل من يعتدي على الإسلام، أو كل من يحاول تشويه صورة الإسلام، والعمل كذلك على تشجيع الحوار البنّاء بين الأديان والحضارات، واحترام حق تقرير المصير لجميع دول العالم، وعدم التدخل في شؤون الدول الداخلية، واحترام سيادة الدول الأعضاء، مع التأكيد على استقلال ووحدة الأراضي لكل دولة من الدول وتعد منظمة التعاون الإسلامي من المنظمات الدولية الكبيرة حيث تضم في عضويتها (57) دولة، حيث تشكل هذه الدول مجتمعة الإطار العام لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي.
كما أوصت الدراسة بضرورة العمل على اعتماد مبادئ الإسلام السمحة التي تعد ضمانة لتنظيم شؤون الحياة والقدرة على تحديات العولمة، والعمل على تبني منهج شمولي في فهم الإسلام يجمع بين الشريعة والعقيدة والسلوك والبناء الحضاري والحركي وفق منهج واع، يعتمد على العلم والعقل، وهذا يتطلب تغير أنماط الحياة.
تحقيق الوحدة الشاملة في العالم العربي والإسلامي، أي تحقيق وحدة للامة ببوجدة العقول والقلوب والمصالح والاهداف والتضامن وبناء قوة سياسية ومعنوية واحدة على أساس وحدة الامة الإسلامية والمصير المشترك.

The study aimed to reveal the institutional structure of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in the era of globalization, the descriptive analytical approach, the comparative approach and the institutional approach were used. To a number of results, the most prominent of which were: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation set several goals in its founding charter, including protecting the true image of Islam from any distortion and standing in the face of anyone who attacks Islam, or anyone who tries to distort the image of Islam, and also works to encourage constructive dialogue Between religions and civilizations, respect for the right of self-determination for all countries of the world, non-interference in the internal affairs of countries, and respect for the sovereignty of member states, with an emphasis on the independence and territorial integrity of each of the countries. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is one of the major international organizations, as its membership includes (57) countries Together, these countries constitute the general framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
The study also recommended the need to work on the application of the provisions of Islamic Sharia, which is a guarantee for the organization of life affairs and the ability to meet the challenges of globalization, and to work on adopting a holistic approach in understanding Islam that combines Sharia, belief, behavior, and civil and kinetic construction according to a conscious approach, based on science and reason, and this requires changing patterns life.
Achieving comprehensive unity in the Arab and Islamic world, that is, achieving the unity of the nation with the presence of minds, hearts, interests, goals and solidarity, and building a single political and moral force on the basis of the unity of the Islamic nation and a common destiny
