Abstract
The density functional theory using a program called Materials Studio 0.7 is applied to study the electrical properties of two types of carbon nanotubes (pristine CNT and CNT that has Stone Wales defect) when interacting with the glucose compound in different orientations cases in two different mediums: solvent and vacuum. The findings are plotted via the origin lab program for selective sample cases. The findings reveal that the difference in direction has a great influence on the electrical properties of the nanotubes and the glucose compound. In addition, the difference in the medium has a great effect on the electronic properties of the nanotubes and the glucose compound
