تناولت هذه الدراسة إحدى روايات المشروع الروائي العرفاني للروائي المغربي عبد الإله بن عرفة، وهي رواية "طواسين الغزالي" الصادرة عن دار الآداب ببيروت، سنة 2011م. وفيها يشكل عبد الإله بنعرفة سيرة الإمام الغزالي وشخصيته تشكيلا روائيا. وقد حاول الباحث دراسة هذه الرواية وتحليلها من زاويتين تتحكمان على نحو جدلي في تشكيل بنيتها السردية، الأولى: المنظور التاريخي لشخصية الإمام الغزالي وسلطتُه، والآخرى: سلطة السارد ومخياله، بالإضافة إلى بحثه في جماليات هذا النمط السردي الجديد، الذي يعيد فيه السارد بناء الشخصية التاريخية الصوفية وفق مخياله وزاوية رؤيته، ويبدع الأحداث التي مرت بها والشخصيات التي عايشتها وحاورتها، فضلا عن دراسة الأمكنة والأزمنة التي تؤطر كل ذلك وتؤثر فيه.
وقد قامت هذه الدراسة على تمهيد وأربعة فصول وخاتمة، وتضمن التمهيد تعريفًا بالرواية العرفانية انطلاقا من سؤال: هل ثمة ما يسمى بالرواية العرفانية؟ وحديثًا عن مشروع عبد الإله بنعرفة الروائي.
وأمَّا سائر الفصول فكانت على النحو الآتي:
عُني الفصل الأول بتحليل عتبات الرواية ومرجعياتها، ودرس الباحث في الفصل الثاني شخصية الغزالي في الخطاب السردي بين سلطة التاريخ وسلطة السارد، وجمالية توظيف الشخصية الصوفية في السرد، وتناول الفصل الثالث بالتحليل شبكة التناص في الخطاب السردي وتحدث الفصل الرابع عن تسريد الأمكنة التاريخية، وتسريد الأزمنة التاريخية، ثم الخاتمة التي تحتوي على نتائج الدراسة.

This study deals with one of Abdulilah Bin Arafah's mystical novel, Tawasin Al-Ghazali (2011), which was published by Dar Al-Adaab in Beirut, and which is part of Arafah's project of establishing a new genre of fiction called mystical narratives. In this novel, Arafah depicts Al-Ghazali's biography and character in an artistic and fictional way. The researcher will use semiotics and historicism in analyzing the novel?s discourse. Moreover, the researcher will discuss the novel from two debatable angles controlling the narrative structure of the novel: on the one hand, the researcher will analyze and study the historical context and view of Al-Ghazali's character, personality, and authority, while on the other hand, the researcher will discuss the narrator's authority, imagination, and the way he explores the aesthetics and the creative characteristics of this new type of narrative, in which the narrator rebuilds and re-depicts the historical, mystical character from his own point of view, and create the plot and the setting which frame and affect it.
The study will be divided into an introduction, four chapters, and a conclusion. In the introduction, the researcher includes a general definition of the mystical novel, depending on the question: is there a literary genre called mystical novel' The introduction will also include a discussion of Arafah's project of Islamic mystical novel. The first chapter focuses on the characteristics and references of the mystical novel, while in the second chapter the researcher discusses Al-Ghazali's character in the narrative discourse, which is being subjected to two conflicting and opposing forces: the historical reality of his character and the narrative authority of the writer. In addition, the researcher discusses the aesthetics of employing the mystical character in this type of narratives. The third chapter thoroughly analyzed intertexuality in this type of novels. The forth chapter studies the literary elements of the setting and plot within the mystical and historical narratives
