هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى دور مديري المدارس المتوسطة بدولة الكويت في تحقيق معايير البيئة الصحية للطلبة، وجاءت هذه الدراسة لمعرفة دور المدير اتجاه المسؤولية الصحة المدرسية ومعرفة الطريقة المشتركة بين المعلم أو الإدارة في تقديم برامج للصحة بل تمتد تلك المسؤولية للجميع في هذه البيئة، وعلى الرغم من أن التّخطيط للتربية الصحية يعتبر من مهام مدير المدّرسة ، ولكن للمعلم ايضا دور في ذلك ، تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، حيث تم اخذ مجتمع العينة من معلمين ومعلمات بعض المناطق التعليمية ( الفروانية ، والجهراء ، والعاصمة ) حيث تم اخذ عينة عشوائية تكونت من ( 224 ) معلم ومعلمة في دولة الكويت وقد كانت عينة عشوائية بسيطة ، واستخدمت الاستبانة كأداة لجمع بيانات الدراسة حيث تكونت الاستبانه من (32) فقرة تم توزيعها على (4) مجالات وبعد إجراء عملية المعالجة الإحصائية توصلت الدراسة اهم النتائج : أن المجالات المتعلقة بدور مديري المدارس المتوسطة بدولة الكويت في تحقيق معايير البيئة الصحية للطلبة من وجهة نظر المعلمين بأن تحقيق المعايير للمجالات (البيئة المدرسية، توعية الطلبة، وسائل السلامة العامة) جاء بدرجة متوسطة وبالاوساط الحسابية (3.55، 3.07، 3.57) بينما تحقيقها جاء بدرجة مرتفعة لمجال النظافة العامة للطلبة وبمتوسط حسابي (3.74) وربما يعزى ذلك الى اراء ووجهة نظر المعلمين من ناحية ضعف متابعة مدير المدرسة ملفات الطلبة الصحية بشكل دوري نسبيا، وايضا انخفاض عملية تشجيع مدير المدرسة على تصميم لوحات جدارية تتضمن برنامج صحي يناقش حلول مشكلة السُمنة على سبيل المثال. كما انه يوجد ضعف نسبي حول اختيار مدير المدرسة الأثاث المدرسي الموافق لشروط الصحة والسلامة. من ناحية اخرى نلاحظ التشجيع الكبير من قبل مدير المدرسة المعلمين على متابعة النظافة الشخصية للطلبة.
وبين ايضا ان البيئة الصحية صارت من أولويات الوزارة في الوقت الراهن ويتم تشكيل لجان تتأكد من استعدادات المدارس قبل بداية العام الدراسي حتى تكون مهيأة لاستقبال الطلبة للعام الدراسي الجديد ، حيث اظهرت اهم النتائج بعدم وجود فروق في دور مديري المدارس المتوسطة بدولة الكويت في تحقيق معايير البيئة الصحية للطلبة تعزى لمتغير المؤهل العلمي لجميع المجالات باستثناء مجال وسائل السلامة العامة حيث كانت هنالك فروقات ذات دلالة احصائية ولصالح حملة مؤهل البكالوريوس كون الوسط الحسابي لديهم اعلى من حملة درجة الدراسات العليا.
وقد أوصت الدراسة بمجموعة من التوصيات منها: ضرورة التزام قسم الأبنية في وزارة التربية والتعليم بتوفير معايير البيئة الصحية للطلبة في المدارس ، ضرورة تبني وزارة التربية والتعليم الآليات الإدارية التي قدمتها الدراسة الحالية لتطوير التسهيلات المدرسية في المدرسة الكويتية "بدور مديري المدارس المتوسطة بدولة الكويت في تحقيق معايير البيئة الصحية للطلبة من وجهة نظر المعلمين".

The study aimed to identify the role of middle school principals in Kuwait in achieving environmental health standards for students. This study was conducted to find out the role of the director of school health responsibility and to know the joint method between the teacher and the administration in providing health programs, but this responsibility extends to everyone in this environment. Planning for health education is considered a task of the school principal, but the teacher also has a role in that. A descriptive survey method was used. A simple random sample population of 224 teachers was taken from the following educational areas (Farwaniya, Al-Jahra and the Capital). The tool used to collect the data of the study was a questionnaire consisting of (32) questions distributed into (4) main domains. After statistical processing the study reached the following important results:
The areas related to the role of middle school principals in the State of Kuwait in achieving environmental health standards for students from the point of view of teachers that the achievement of standards for the areas (school environment, student awareness, public safety means) came in a medium and arithmetic mean (3.55, 3.07, 3.57) While achieving a high level of cleanliness for students came in an average of 3.74. This may be attributed to the teachers' opinions and views regarding the poor follow-up of the student's health files on a relatively regular basis by the principals, as well as a lack of encouragement by the school principal to design murals that include a health program that addresses the problems of obesity, for example. There is also a relative weakness from the school principal in the choice of school furniture that meets the health and safety requirements. On the other hand, we note the great encouragement of the school principal to the teachers to follow the personal hygiene of students.
The study showed that the health environment has become a priority of the ministry at the present time with the formation of committees to ensure the readiness of schools before the beginning of the academic year to be ready for the reception of students for the new academic year. The results showed that there were no differences in the role of middle school principals in Kuwait in achieving environmental health standards for students which is attributable to the variable of scientific qualification for all fields except for the field of public safety means where there were statistically significant differences in favor of the bachelor degree holders.
The study recommended the following: the necessity of commitment of the Department of Buildings in the Ministry of Education to provide the standards of the healthy environment for students in schools, the need for the Ministry of Education to adopt the administrative mechanisms provided by the current study to develop school facilities in the Kuwaiti school.
