هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى دراسة تاريخ التركمان ودخولهم بلاد الشام في القرن الخامس الهجري/ الحادي عشر الميلادي، لذلك، كان الغرض منها الإلمام إلمامًا سريعًا غنيًّا بتاريخ التركمان منذ أقدم العصور بذكر أصولهم وقبائلهم وبعض عاداتهم، ثم أزاحت الباحثة الستار عن الدور الكبير الذي نهضت به تلك القبائل في محاولتها التوسع في بلاد الشام، وعلاقتهم بالقوة المحلية، وتحالفاتهم، والإمارات التي أقاموها في شمال بلاد الشام وجنوبها، والآثار السياسية، والاقتصادية، والاجتماعية، قبيل دخول بلاد الشام في ظلّ الحكم السلجوقي سنة 471هـ/ 1078م.
وبسبب تداخل المعلومات الخاصة بتلك القبائل في بلاد الشام؛ عملت الباحثة على التدرج بالأحداث التاريخية وعرضها في سياقها الزمني منذ المحاولات الأولى لتلك القبائل لدخول بلاد الشام، إلى نجاح السلاجقة بإقامة دولة لهم فيها.
واستعرضت الباحثة في التمهيد أصول قبائل التركمان وأماكن إقامتهم وعاداتهم ودياناتهم، من خلال كتب الرحالة الذين زاروا بلادهم، أمّا في الفصل الأول، فقد تناولت الباحثة دراسة أوضاع بلاد الشام السياسية والاقتصادية قبل دخول قبائل التركمان، وعملت الباحثة على دراسة المحاولات الأولى لدخول الجماعات التركمانية عام 435هـ/ 1055م إلى بلاد الشام.
وتناولت الباحثة في الفصل الثاني دراسة دخول الجماعات التركمانية بلاد الشام، ودراسة طبيعة علاقاتهم مع الخلافة العباسية، ووصْف العلاقة المتوترة مع الفاطميين الشيعة والدولة البيزنطية.
وخصصت الباحثة الفصل الثالث لدراسة السلاجقة وأصولهم وعلاقتهم مع الخلافة العباسية، وطبيعة علاقتهم مع الإمارات في بلاد الشام، وكيفية تأسيس دولة لهم في بلاد الشام.
عالجت الباحثة في الفصل الأخير الآثار الاقتصادية والاجتماعية لقبائل التركمان في بلاد الشام، ووصفت سياستهم في المنطقة، وطبيعة تأثرهم بالسكان العرب، ومدى تأثر سكان بلاد الشام بهم.

The aim of this study is to study the history of the Turkmen and their entry into Bilad Al-Sham in the fifth century AH / 11th century AD, so the purpose was to investigate quickly and in depth in the history of the Turkmen since the oldest ages by mentioning their origins and tribes and some of their habits, and then removed the curtain of the role of the great that raised them The tribes in their attempt to expand Bilad Al- sham and their relationship with the local power and alliances and the UAE .they established in the north and south of the Bilad Al-sham, and political, economic and social effects before the entry of Bilad Al-sham under the Seljuk rule in 471 AH / 1078 AD.
Because of the overlap of information about these tribes in Bilad Al-sham, the researcher worked on the hierarchy of historical events and presented in the context of time and their attempts to enter Bilad Al-sham to the success of the Seljuks to establish a state in them.
In the first chapter, the researcher dealt with the study of the political and economic conditions of Bilad Al-sham prior to the entry of the Turkmen tribes. The researcher studied the first attempts to enter the Turkmen groups in 435 AH / 1055 AD to Bilad Al-sham.
In the second chapter, the researcher tackled the study of the Turkoman groups in the Levant and studying the nature of their relations with the Abbasid caliphate and describing the tense relationship with the Fatimid Shiites and the Byzantine state.
The researcher Customized the third chapter to study the Seljuks and their origins and their relationship with the Abbasid Caliphate and the nature of their relationship with the UAE and how to establish a state in Bilad Al-sham.
In the last chapter, the researcher dealt with the economic and social effects of the Turkmen tribes in Bilad Al-sham and described their policies in the region and the nature of their influence on the Arab population and the extent of the affected population of Bilad Al-sham
