هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرف إلى دور مدراء المدارس الثانوية في محافظة الأحمدي في دولة الكويت في مواجهة العنف المجتمعي، ومعرفة أثر متغيرات المسمى الوظيفي، والمؤهل العلمي، وسنوات الخبرة في ذلك. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم اختيار أفراد عينة الدراسة والمكونة من (207) منهم (13) مدير و(35) مدير مساعد و (159) رئيس قسم، وتم تطبيق أداة الدراسة عليهم بعد أن تم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، وقد تكونت الأداة من خمسة مجالات: المجال الأول: "إشراك المجتمع المحلي، والمجال الثاني: " إشراك المتعلمين" والمجال الثالث: "إشراك المعلمين" والمجال الرابع: "إشراك الإعلام والمجال الخامس: "استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة"، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي لملاءمته لطبيعة الدراسة.
وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن دور مدراء المدارس الثانوية في محافظة الأحمدي في دولة الكويت في إشراك المجتمع المحلي والمتعلمين والمعلمين لمواجهة ظاهرة العنف المجتمعي جاءت بدرجة (عالية)، وأن دور مدراء المدارس في إشراك الإعلام واستخدام التكنولوجيا لمواجهة ظاهرة العنف المجتمعي جاءت بدرجة (متوسطة). وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة احصائياً بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة على مجالي إشراك المتعلمين واستخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة وفقاً لمتغير سنوات الخبرة. وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة احصائياً بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد العينة وفقاً لمتغيري المؤهل العلمي والمسمى الوظيفي على مجالات الدراسة الخمسة، وعلى مجالات: إشراك المجتمع المحلي، وإشراك المعلمين، وإشراك الإعلام وفقاً لمتغير سنوات الخبرة.
وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحث باهتمام الإدارة المدرسية بدعوة وسائل الإعلام لتغطية الأنشطة المدرسية التي تتناول ظاهرة العنف المجتمعي بهدف توعية وتوجيه الطلبة نحو الابتعاد عن ظاهرة العنف المجتمعي، وأيضا إعادة النظر في الكثير من المناهج الدراسية والأساليب التربوية بعقلية لا ترفض الجديد كله ولا تقبل القديم دون نقاش أو تمحيص

This study aimed to identify the role of secondary school principals in Al Ahmadi Governorate in the State of Kuwait in facing domestic violence, and the effect of the variables of job title, educational qualification and years of experience on that. To achieve the objectives of the study, a sample which consisted of (207) school principals, principal assistants, and heads of departements was selected and the study tool was conducted on the sample after its validity and reliability were confirmed. The study tool was a questionnaire consisted of five domains: the involvement of the community, the involvement of the learners, the involvement of the teachers, the involvement of the media, and the use of modern technology. The descriptive approach was used in the study as it is best suited for this type of research. The results of the study showed that the role of secondary school principals in Al Ahmadi Governorate in the State of Kuwait in the involvement of the community, the involvement of the learners, and the involvement of the teachers in facing domestic violence was high, and in the involvement of the media, and the use of modern technology was moderate.
The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences in the means of the responses of the study sample on the domains of the involvement of the learners, and the use of modern technology due to the variable of years of experience. Finally, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the means of the responses of the study sample on the five domains due to the variables of job title, and educational qualification, and on the involvement of the community, the involvement of the teachers, and the involvement of the media due to the variable of years of experience.
In light of the results of the study, the researcher recommended that school administrations should invite the media to cover school activities that deal with the phenomenon of domestic violence in order to educate students and direct them to stay away from domestic violence, and also revisit a lot of the curriculum and educational methods to ensure that they do not develop or inculcate the mentality that rejects the new without debate or scrutiny
