This study aimed at identifying the role of educational counseling in developing the leadership personality of the middle stage in Alanbaar governorate. The researcher used the survey descriptive approach by using a questionnaire to collect data from the sample of (89) educational counselors in the schools of the middle stage dependent to the Directorate of ministry of Alanbaar governorate. The research results indicated that the role of educational counselling in developing the leadership personality was medium in the total degree. The domain of developing personal characteristics got the first rank with a high degree, then the domain of developing social characteristics which got the second rank with medium degree, then the domain of the scientific characteristics which got the third rank with medium degree. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the estimates of of the sample research according to the experience and gender variables. There were statistically significant differences in the estimates of the research sample according to the scientific qualification in favour of higher studies .In light of the results of the study the study recommended some suggestions of which, caring for developing leadership personality of the students by educational counselors in the schools of Alanbaar governorate
