هدفت الدراسة الى التعرف على اثر استخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات والمتمثلة بـ (الأجهزة والمعدات والبرمجيات وشبكات الاتصال وقاعدة البيانات والموارد البشرية والتطبيقات) وأثرها في تحسين مستوى الأداء الوظيفي بإبعاده (السرعة والجودة والموثوقية والمعرفة بالعمل) وقد تكون مجتمع الدراسة من جميع المدراء ورؤساء الأقسام والمساعدين وأمناء المكاتب والبالغ عددهم (845) ، وتم إجراء حصر شامل حيث تم اخذ عينة عشوائية ميسرة شملت (160) موظفاً واسترد منها (150) استبانه لتمثل نسبة المعاينة لغرض تحديد عينة الدراسة.
واعتمدت الباحثة على الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية (SPSS) في تحليل بيانات الدراسة ومن المقاييس الإحصائية الآتية : النسب المئوية والوسط الحسابي والانحراف المعياري والتكرارات وتحليل التباين الأحادي وتحليل الانحدار المتعدد.
وخلصت الدراسة إلى إن مستوى تطبيق تكنولوجيا المعلومات على الأداء الوظيفي كان متوسطاً من وجهة نظر العاملين ، وان مستوى الأداء الوظيفي للمدراء ورؤساء الأقسام وأمناء المكاتب كان متوسطاً كذلك في دائرة الأحوال والجوازات الأردنية.
وفيما يتعلق باختبار فرضيات الدراسة : فقد أظهرت النتائج وجود اثر لاستخدام تكنولوجيا المعلومات في مستوى الأداء الوظيفي للعاملين في دائرة الأحوال والجوازات الأردنية وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات إجابات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغير (النوع الاجتماعي وعدد سنوات الخبرة والمسمى الوظيفي) وأظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات إجابات عينة الدراسة تعزى لمتغير (العمر والمستوى التعليمي).
وقدمت الدراسة عدداً من التوصيات أهمها: متابعة التطورات في مجال تكنولوجيا المعلومات ، والسعي لامتلاك احدث البرامج والتطبيقات وتوفير الإمكانات المادية والفنية والمعرفية ، نظراً لدورها في رفع الأداء الوظيفي وانعكاسات ذلك على الاداء المنظمي ، وكذلك بضرورة عمل دراسة تفصيلية لنوع وعدد البرامجيات المستخدمة في دائرة الأحوال والجوازات الأردنية

And it adopted the researcher of The Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) In the study data analysis and statistical measures The following: the percentages and the arithmetic mean and standard deviation and duplicates and analysis of variance single and multiple regression analysis.
The study concluded The application of information technology on job performance was average from the perspective of employees, and functionality for managers and department heads level The Trustees of the offices was average as well as in the circle d Status and Passports of Jordan.
With regard to test hypotheses of the study: The results showed a trace of the use of information technology in the level of functionality for workers in the case of Jordan and Passports Department The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample answers due to the variable differences (gender , The number of years of experience, job title) and the results showed a statistically significant differences between the averages of the study sample answers due to the variable differences (Age, educational level).
The study made a number of recommendations including: to follow developments in the field of information technology, and the pursuit of the latest software and applications and to provide material and technical and cognitive capabilities , Due to its role in raising the functionality and implications for Organizational Performance , As well as the need to work a detailed study of the type and number of mainland Software used in the cases of Jordan and Passports Department
