يهدف هذا البحث إلى دراسة أساليب النفي وأدواته عند علماء اللغة العربية, مع تطبيق هذه الأساليب والأدوات على ديوان الهذليين, دراسة نحوية دلالية.
وقسمت هذه الدراسة إلى: مقدّمة, وتمهيد, وأربعة فصول, وخاتمة بينت فيها أهم النتائج.
ففي المقدمة: تحدثت عن أهداف الدراسة, وعن منهجية البحث, وعن الدراسات السابقة.
وفي التمهيد: تناولت فيه نسب قبيلة هذيل, وموطنهم, وأشعارهم, ولغتهم, وأهم مصادر شعرهم.
وفي الفصل الأول: تحدثت عن صورة أسلوب النفي وأحواله عند النحاة القدماء, وقد اخترت مجموعة من النحويين, والبلاغيين, وبعض المحدثين, للحديث عنه.
وفي الفصل الثاني: درست النفي بقسميه: الصريح, والضمني, وأدوات كلٍّ منهما, في كتب النحاة, حيث بينت فيه عمل كل أداة, ودلالاتها الزمنية, وطائفة من أحكامها.
أما الفصل الثالث: فدرست فيه النفي في ديوان الهذليين, دراسة نحوية, دلالية.
وأما الفصل الرابع: فجاء تقويماً لهذه الدراسة, وأهم ما يعرضه هو أثر النفي في ديوان الهذليين.
وفي الخاتمة بينت فيها أهم النتائج التي توصّلت إليها, ومن أبرزها:
* يُستعمل للنفي أدواتٍ: صريحةً, وضمنيّةً, حيث جاءت كلٌّ منهما عاملة, وغير عاملة.
* لاحظ الباحث أنّ أكثر أساليب النفي دورانًا في الديوان (لا), ثم تليها (ما) ثم (لم, وليس, ولن)

This research is dedicated to study negation and its words used by Arabic language scholars and implementing those words on Hudhaylis Divan of poetry- A syntactic semantic study. This study is divided into: An introduction, preface, four chapters, and a conclusion in which important results are shown.
The introduction presents the study objectives, the research methodology, and previous studies. As for the preface, it sheds light on the kinship of Hudhaylis tribe, their homeland, poetry, language, and the most important sources of their poetry. The first chapter discusses negation and its conditions followed by ancient linguists, and a group of linguists, rhetoricians, and reporters of Hadith were chosen to discuss their works. The second chapter studies negation in its both sections: the explicit, and the implicit, and their words in linguists books whereas the chapter explains the role of each word, its time connotation, and a group of its rules. The third chapter studies negation in Hudhaylis Divan of poetry - a syntactic semantic study. The fourth chapter straightens this study and displays the effect of negation in HudhaylisDivan of poetry. Finally, the conclusion presents important results, such as:
* Negation uses explicit and implicit words both function and content words.
* The researcher noticed that the most common negative words is (not) /laa/, then (not) /maa/, after that (did not) /lam/, (is not) /laysa/, and (will not) /lan
