هدفت هذه الدراسة للكشف عن درجة امتلاك مدرسي الجغرافية للكفايات التعليمية ودرجة ممارستهم لها في المدارس الإسلامية لمحافظة بابل في العراق، وأثر بعض المتغيرات: (الخبرة التدريسية، والمؤهل العلمي، والجنس)، وتم استخدام الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة مكونة من (53) فقرة، وموزعة على أربع مجالات هي: (التخطيط، التنفيذ والعرض، التطوير، التقويم)، وتم التحقق من صدقها وثباتها، حيث تكونت عينة الدراسة من (45) مدرساً ومدرسة تم اختيارهم بالطريقة القصدية، وتوصلت نتائج الدراسة إلى أن درجة امتلاك الكفايات التعليمية لمدرسي الجغرافية كانت بدرجة (متوسطة) وأن أكثر مجالات الكفايات التعليمية امتلاكاً هو مجال كفاية (التنفيذ والعرض) حيث جاء بدرجة (عالية)، بينما كان اقل المجالات امتلاكا مجال كفاية (التطوير) حيث جاء بدرجة (متوسطة). وأن درجة ممارسة الكفايات التعليمية لمدرسي الجغرافية جاءت بدرجة (متوسطة)، وأن أكثر مجالات الكفايات التعليمية ممارسةً هو مجال كفاية (التنفيذ والعرض) حيث جاء بدرجة (متوسطة)، بينما كانت اقل المجالات ممارسةً هو مجال كفاية (التطوير) حيث جاء بدرجة (ضعيفة). كما بينت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية الخاصة بمقياس درجة امتلاك مدرسي الجغرافية للكفايات التعليمية تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة المستقلة (الخبرة التدريسية، والمؤهل العلمي، والجنس) في جميع المجالات، كما أشارت النتائج إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية ( = 0.05) بمقياس الدرجة الكلية للامتلاك تعزى لأثر الجنس، حيث بلغت قيمة ف 4.490 وبدلالة إحصائية بلغت 0.041، وجاءت الفروق لصالح الذكور. وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية الخاصة بمقياس درجة ممارسة مدرسي الجغرافية للكفايات التعليمية تعزى لمتغيرات الدراسة في جميع المجالات، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود علاقة ارتباطية ايجابية بين درجة امتلاك مدرسي مادة الجغرافية ودرجة ممارستهم لها.
وفي ضوء نتائج الدراسة أوصى الباحث بأهمية دعوة الجهات المعنية ممثلة بديوان الوقف السني ودائرة التعليم الإسلامي بعقد المزيد من الورش واللقاءات والدورات التدريبية بهدف إثراء درجة امتلاك وممارسة مدرسي الجغرافية للكفايات التعليمية.

This study aimed to show the level of competency and extent of teaching competencies of geography teachers at Islamic schools in Babel (Babylon) governorate in Iraq, the extent to which they are practiced and the effect of the following variables (teaching experience, educational level and gender). The study tool was a (53) item questionnaire that covered the four following fields: (planning, execution and presentation, development and modification). Questionnaire credibility and consistency were verified. The study sample consisted of (45) male and female teachers, intentionally chosen. The results of the study showed that the geography teachers' level of acquisition of teaching competencies was (medium) and that the highest level of competency was that of (execution and presentation) at (high) whereas (development) had the lowest level of competency (medium). Results also showed there is no differences of statistical significance were found in the scale measuring the level of these geography teachers' acquisition of teaching competencies attributed to the independent study variables (teaching experience, educational level and gender) and in all fields. Results however showed differences of statistical value (? = 0.05) on the scale measuring overall teaching competency acquisition level which were attributed to gender. The F value was 4.490 with a statistical indication reaching 0.041 in favor of male teachers.
The results also showed no differences of statistical indication were found in the extent to which geography teachers practiced teaching competencies attributed to the independent study variables (teaching experience, educational level and gender) in all fields. The results finally showed there is no correlation relationship between geography teachers and the extent of their practices.
In light of this study's results the researcher recommends that it is important that related administrations represented by the Sunni Waqf Bureau and the Islamic Education Directorate hold further workshops and training courses to enhance geography teachers' level of teaching competencies and their practice them
