هدفت الدراسة إلى تحديد سمات المواطن الصالح كما يتضمنها كتاب الثقافة العامة، ومعرفة درجة تمثل طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في محافظة المفرق لسمات المواطن الصالح في ضوء متغيري الجنس والفرع الأكاديمي.
وقد حاولت الدراسة الإجابة عن الأسئلة الآتية:-
السؤال الأول:- ما هي سمات المواطن الصالح التي يتضمنها كتاب الثقافة العامة للصف الثاني الثانوي في الأردن؟
السؤال الثاني:- ما درجة تمثل طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في محافظة المفرق لسمات المواطن الصالح التي يتضمنها كتاب الثقافة العامة؟
السؤال الثالث:- هل تختلف درجة تمثل طلبة الصف الثاني الثانوي في مديرية تربية قصبة المفرق لسمات المواطن الصالح تبعاً لاختلاف الجنس؟
السؤال الرابع:- هل تختلف درجة تمثل طلبة الصف الثاني الثانوي في مديرية تربية قصبة المفرق لسمات المواطن الصالح تبعاً لاختلاف الفرع الأكاديمي؟
تكونت عينة الدراسة من (343) طالباً وطالبة اختيروا بالطريقة العشوائية العنقودية، ولتحقيق أغراض الدراسة تم إعداد أداة لقياس سمات المواطن الصالح مكونة من (35) موقفاً توزعت في ثمانية مجالات هي:الوسطية والاعتدال، والعطاء، والنقد البناء، والتسامح، والصدق، والاعتزاز بقيمة العمل، والانتماء والولاء، والاهتمام بالآخرين ومراعاة حاجاتهم وظروفهم. وللتحقق من صدق الأداة تم عرضها على مجموعة من المحكمين، كما تم استخراج ثبات الأداة بطريقتين هما: طريقة الاتساق الداخلي وفق معادلة كرونباخ ألفا حيث بلغ معامل الثبات للأداة الكلية (0.873) والثانية طريقة الاختبار وإعادة الاختبار وبلغ معامل الثبات للأداة الكلية بهذه الطريقة (0.841)
وبعد تطبيق الأداة وتحليل بياناتها أظهرت النتائج ما يلي:
- جاءت درجة تمثل طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مديرية تربية قصبة المفرق لسمات المواطن الصالح على الأداة الكلية بدرجة متوسطة ضمن مستوى التمثل الحيادي، وقد جاءت سمة " التسامح " في الترتيب الأول، وبدرجة مرتفعة ضمن مستوى التمثل الايجابي، وجاءت سمة " الانتماء والولاء" في الترتيب الثاني، وبدرجة مرتفعة ضمن مستوى التمثل الايجابي. في حين حلّت سمة " الاعتزاز بقيمة العمل " في الترتيب الثامن والأخير، وبدرجة متوسطة، ضمن مستوى التمثل الحيادي، وفي الترتيب السابع وقبل الأخير جاءت سمة "النقد البناء"، وبدرجة تمثل متوسطة ضمن مستوى التمثل الحيادي.
- وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تمثل الطلبة لسمات المواطن الصالح تبعاً للجنس، على سبع سمات هي (الوسطية والاعتدال، والعطاء، والنقد البناء، والتسامح، والصدق، والاعتزاز بقيمة العمل، والاهتمام بالآخرين ومراعاة حاجاتهم وظروفهم) وسمات المواطن الصالح بشكل عام، ولصالح الإناث، وعدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تمثل الذكور والإناث لسمة (الانتماء والولاء).
- عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا بين متوسطات درجات تمثل الطلبة لسمات المواطن الصالح تبعاً لمتغير الفرع الأكاديمي، على سبع سمات هي(الوسطية والاعتدال، العطاء، النقد البناء، التسامح، الصدق، الانتماء والولاء، والاهتمام بالآخرين ومراعاة حاجاتهم وظروفهم) وسمات المواطن الصالح بشكل عام. في حين كان هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات درجات تمثل طلبة الفرع العلمي وفرع الإدارة المعلوماتية لسمة (الاعتزاز بقية العمل) ولصالح طلبة الفرع العلمي.
وفي ضوء النتائج تم تقديم مجموعة من التوصيات من أهمها التركيز على سمات النقد البناء والاعتزاز بقيمة العمل عند تصميم وتطوير مناهج الدراسات الاجتماعية.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of secondary school student's representation of good citizen characteristics as included in general culture textbook in Al-Mafraq district according to six and academic track.
The study will answer the following question:
The first question:- What are the characteristics of good citizen as included in general culture textbook for secondary school student's in Jordan?
The second question:- What is the degree of secondary school student's representation to the characteristics of good citizen as included in general culture textbook in Al-Mafraq district?
The third question:- Is there any difference in the degree of secondary school student's representation to the characteristics of good citizen in Al-Mafraq borough directorate due to the gender?
The forth question:- Is there any difference in the degree of secondary school student's representation to the characteristics of good citizen in Al-Mafraq borough directorate due to the academic track?
The sample of this study was stratified cluster random, consisted of (343) male and female student's.
To achieve the purpose of the study, an instrument was constructed to measure the degree of good citizen characteristics. The good citizen characteristics consisted of (35) situations and distributed into eight characters: (moderation, Tender, Constructive Criticism, Tolerance, Honesty, Pride of the value of work, Belonging and Loyalty, caring of others and considering their needs and circumstances).
The reliability of the instrument was calculated using correlation coefficient and found to be (0.873). This is appropriate for conducting such a study, from a statistical point of view. The researcher also followed test\retest technique.
The researcher validated the instrument by submitting it to a group of jury.
The findings of the study indicated that the degree of secondary school representation of good citizen characteristics in Al-Mafraq district was average rating. First was tolerance in a high degree, second Belonging and loyalty in a high level, where pride of the value of work, was the last, in average rating. And before it was the constructive criticism, in average rating.
There were statistically significant differences in the averages of the degree of representation of good citizen characteristic according to sex, in seven characters: (moderation, Tender, Constructive Criticism, Tolerance, Honesty, Pride of the value of work, caring of others and considering their needs and circumstances). In favor of females, and there were no statistically differences in the averages of the degrees representing males and females in Belonging and Loyalty.
There were no statistically differences in the averages of the degrees representing students of good citizen characteristics according to the academic track variable, in seven characters: (moderation, Tender, Constructive Criticism, Tolerance, Honesty, Belonging and Loyalty, caring of others and considering their needs and circumstances) and good citizen characteristics in general. While there were statistically significant differences in the averages of the degree of representation of scientific track students and the information management track of characteristic (Pride of the value of work) in favor of scientific track.
The researcher proposed some recommendations such as focusing on constructive criticism, and pride of the value of work when designing and developing general culture curricula
