This study discusses the concepts of peace and development in the view of his Majesty King Abdullah II bin al-Hussain, who is active to prevail peace in the Middle East, and resolve pending conflicts and wars, mainly, the Palestinian case, which his Majesty considers an inherent issue, and the territory cannot enjoy peace until he finds a fundamental solution ?according to his Majesty's view-. The study is based on a basic theory that says: King Abdullah II has a special vision to achieve peace and development, especially in the Middle East. His vision is effective, embodied in his political speech, reflected in the existing fact, which His Majesty, through it, could initiate a modern view, change a public opinion, and become an effective leader in making peace, which is reflected on the internal situation in Jordan, and casted a great position and respect, regionally and worldwide level. Jordan, during his reign, became an active and principal play in achieving a world peace and security. This study discusses in the first chapter, the factors contributing in forming his Majesty's notion regarding peace and development concepts. This chapter is divided into two sections; section one discusses the factors related to his Majesty's character, including his birth and youth, education, military, civil, and social life. Section two discussed the factors related to surrounding environment where his Majesty lived, which includes his religious and historical legitimacy, and his affection by the notions of his father, late King Hussain ben Talal and Hashemites notion, in addition to being contemporary with violence and conflicts in the Middle East, and affection by Palestinian case, which has direct relation with Jordan since ever. Chapter two, the scientific part, was divided into three sections. Section one discussed the quantitative and qualitative analysis for samples of his Majesty's speeches locally, regionally, and internationally. Section two analyzed samples of his Majesty's interviews with the media. While section three analyzed samples of articles written by his Majesty in major international newspapers, which, in researcher's opinion, are the most politically indicative to his Majesty's notion regarding the concept of peace and development. Chapter three was divided into three sections, which pointed out the impact of his Majesty's view towards the concept of peace and development. Section one discussed the impact of his Majesty's view to achieve peace and development locally, section two discussed the impact regionally, section three discussed the impact internationally, while section four discussed the conclusions and recommendations of the study
