هدفت الدراسة التعرف إلى درجة الآثار النفسية والأكاديمية والاجتماعية لإدمان الانترنت على طلبة الجامعات العراقية. اعتمدت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وأعدت استبانة تضمنت الآثار النفسية والأكاديمية والاجتماعية لإدمان الانترنت، تم توزيعها على عينة الدراسة المكونة من(394) طالبا وطالبة في جامعة تكريت ضمن التخصصات الإنسانية والعلمية. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة الآثار النفسية والأكاديمية والاجتماعية لإدمان الانترنت على الطلبة مرتفعة، وجاء مجال الآثار الاجتماعية أولاً، ثم مجال الآثار النفسية ثانياً، ثم مجال الآثار الأكاديمية في المرتبة الأخيرة، كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في تقديرات أفراد العينة وفق متغير الجنس لصالح الذكور، ووفق متغير التخصص لصالح التخصصات العلمية، وعدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا وفق متغير المؤهل العلمي، وفي ضوء النتائج قدمت الباحثة توصيات عدة منها: إجراء ندوات ومحاضرات تثقيفية لطلبة جامعة تكريت، حول الآثار السلبية لإدمان الانترنت. |

The study aimed at realizing the degree of psychological, academic and social effects of the addiction of Internet on students at Iraqi Universities. The researcher depended on survey descriptive method and prepared a questionnaire, which included the psychological, academic and social effects of the addiction of Internet that was distributed to population of study consisted of (394) male and female students at Takreet University who study human and scientific specialties. The study concluded that the degree of psychological, academic and social effects of the addiction of Internet on students was high; whereas the area of social effects had the first position, then the area of psychological effects had the second position while academic effects had the last position. Moreover, the study concluded that there were statistically significant differences in the evaluations of population of study according to variable of sex in favor of male students and according to specialty variable in favor of scientific specialties and there were no statistically significant differences according to qualification variable.
In light of study findings, the researcher recommended the following:
Conducting educational seminars and lectures for the students at Takreet University about the negative effects of the addiction of Internet
