Course Aims And Objective
After completing of the course a student will understand: Behavior of data signals propagated through a transmission medium; Data link control protocols; Error detection, error and flow control; Packet-switched networks, network routing; Traditional LANs, Ethernet and token ring; Bridges, routers and basic principles of internetworking (IP); Host to host transport protocol mechanisms (TCP); The use of OSI model as a frame of reference; The similarities, differences, advantages, and disadvantages to current network architectures; |
