الملخص

يتناول البحث واحدا من أهم آثار ابن دريد الأزدي (223ه?-321ه?( ألا وهو معجمه "الجمهرة"، الذي دار حول جهده فيه بعض الجدل، فمن مثن عليه شاكرا له صنيعه فيه، وبين مزر به منكرا عليه كثرة أخذه عن الخليل، الذي لم ينكره ابن دريد نفسه، ولكن ما يسجل للرجل أنه وسع في المادة اللغوية ورتبها بطريقة تتماشى والكفاءة اللغوية لأبناء عصره (الترتيب الألفبائي)، متوسطا بين الإسهاب والاختصار في جل الجمهرة، نازعا إلى التأصيل للكلمة بالرجوع بها إلى وضعها الأول وما طرأ عليه، وأبرز ما يتجلى ذلك في الأسماء والألقاب وغيرها، معرجا على جملة العلاقات الدلالية ممثلة في الترادف والمشترك والأضداد، كل ذلك في نزعة تعليمية لا يخطئها الناظر.

Abstract

The main aim of this study is to provide an overivew of the great Arabic lexicon, ?Al Jamhara ?, written by Ibn Durayd, (223-321). No doubt, this great work has many opposing positions ; on one hand the slandarous critisism that Ibn Durayd did nothing more than rearrangement. On the other hand, ther are enough well-intentioned ediosyncrasies in ? Al- Jamhara ? to account for its failure to engender a new lexicographical tradition in aim, content, and method in: - Permutative alphabetic order ?Al Jamhara ? stands as earlier example of this method. - It retains the separation into bilateral, triliteral, quadriliteral stems and outs in a historic and derivative way particulary with names and nouns. - A curiosity of ?Al Jamhara ? is the way it deals with semantic and ethymological connections as synonyms and antonyms. So ?Al Jamhara ? contains many original materials to the cridit of Ibn Durayd with certainly that deserves the concern of researchers, and that is the the specific focus of this review.
