الملخص

حاولت في هذه الدراسة الوقوف على محاولات نوري السعيد المتكررة بين عامي (1933-1943)، لتحقيق المشروع الذي تبناه لتوحيد بلاد الشام مع العراق في دولة واحدة، مع التركيز على ماهية المشروع، الذي برز بشكل واضح وعملي في بداية عام 1943، وإبراز طبيعة الموقفين العربي والدولي، اللذين ساهما مع أسباب أخرى، في إفشال مساعي السعيد، ووضع حد لنشاطاته الوحدوية، واستبدال المشروع بإعلان قيام جامعة الدول العربية. معتمداً في ذلك على الوثائق البريطانية والدراسات العربية والأجنبية المتخصصة.

Abstract

This study tries to highlight Nouri Saeeds repeated tries between 1933 and 1943 to accomplish the project which he adopted to unify Asham with Iraq in one country. The study will focus on the project which appeared clearly and practically in the beginning of 1943. It also highlights the nature of the Arab and the international roles which contributed, along with other things, to making Saeeds tries a failure, and putting an end to his unifying activities. The project was replaced by the announcement of establishing the Arab League. To do so, the researcher relied on British documents and specialized Arabic and foreign studies.
