الملخص

تم إنشاء سد شرحبيل بن حسنه عام 1966 أي قبل 37عاما على أساس أن خزان السد يستوعب 4.4 مليون متر مكعب من الماء. أجريت أول دراسة لحساب الخزين الفعلي لخزان السد وذلك باستخدام جهاز سبر الغور حيث تم مسح أحد عشر مقطعا طوليا وعرضيا وتبين أن سعة خزان السد هي 2.78 مليون متر مكعب. هذه الأرقام تشير إلى أن ما يقارب 46الف متر مكعب من الرسوبيات يتم جرفها من حوض السد إلى الخزان سنويا.

Abstract

Sharhabiel Bin Hasnah Dam was constructed 37 years ago (1966) with a total reservoir storage capacity of 4.4 million cubic meters. For the first time the actual storage capacity of the reservoir had been calculated using 11 surveying cross-sections. An echo sounder was used during the survey. The results indicate that the reservoir storage capacity is 2.78 million cubic meters. This implies that an annual reduction of 47000 cubic meters of the reservoir storage capacity is taking place due to sediment deposition.
