1- course  objectives :

This course teaches general English at the intermediate to post-intermediate level. It builds up on the previous course (English 1). Longer readings and more complex grammatical points are introduced through interesting and up-to-date topics using authentic texts pertaining to young adults at the university level. It focuses on the four skills and encourages students to use English learned in class communicatively.

2- The syllabus:

This course includes 14 units each focusing on one major topic and every two units are followed by a revision section that includes a language check and extra training. As well, each unit is divided into five sections: grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, listening and speaking and pronunciation.

Within each unit a central topic is approached from a variety of interesting angles, with the result that students learn about the real world and are encouraged to contribute from their own experience, opinions,  and feelings. Plenty of conversations, dialogues and other activities are used to reinforce the communicative approach.
