1- course  objectives :

This is a remedial course. It is designed to help weak students to strengthen their English in order to catch up with other students when taking the two required English courses- English 1 and English 2.

It is a revision of major grammar points and basic vocabulary items, dealing with topics pertaining to young university students. The course gives practice in the four language skills. It teaches general English in the elementary to pre-intermediate level.

 

2- The syllabus:

This course includes 14 units each is divided into 5 sections: grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing, listening and speaking, and pronunciation. Within each unit a certain topic is introduced followed by several interactive and communicative activities. Every two units are followed by an extension for language check and extra training.
